Already for 22 years I have been looking for the occasion of being able to speak with the person responsible to make the decision on the cap for unfortunately ephemeral urban works of art. The decision on which of them it is sentenced to disappear and as of them is amnestied. Who is this mysterious personage, representative of the artistic criterion of the set of the citizens? During this long period of time I have engaged in a dialog in reiterated occasions with members of the Department of Youth and the Department of Culture of our city. I have talked on the subject with more of a mayor and several regidores, that have attended some of the exhibitions of my works occasionally that have taken upon maturity in galleries of Sabadell. To band of the debate on what graffitti can be considered (an art work) and what no, that I leave by another moment, peculiarly nobody has known to never give an answer to my questions: Who it selects which is the wall that deserves to enjoy an artistic content? Which is the followed criterion to designate as between the painted ones art work can be considered? Who finally makes the decision to destroy one and to conserve another one? Perhaps this person who kills as much time that she has me to the expectation does not exist in the municipal gear. But if she is thus, then, who protects the urban art of our city? Perhaps for that reason it is reason why the marginalized walls are inquisitorialment to the gray, perhaps in a nostalgic evocación of our glorious one passed industrialist. Indiscriminately, and without considering the individual and varied artistic wealth that the paintings for our streets suppose, all the walls of the city laborious and are regularly depersonalized, higienitzades and uniformed with, this if, an authentic one smeared, lacked color. In society, where more and more our politicians I realize importance of knowing the opinion all those that are susceptible to contribute them a vote, would like to know to that I must myself direct for being able to communicate my preoccupation to him and my reflection on the artistic situación/represión that we are suffering in this city. A city, Sabadell, that on the other hand is called leader in the cultural land. As artist sabadellenc I defend throughout my city and not I can to understand that whereas my works are exhibited internationally (Catalunya, Spain, England, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, NewYork, Taiwan...), whereas other municipalities contract my services to improve the aspect of their streets and seats (well close, in Terrassa the greatest mural of the city is work mine), to my city are persecuted not so single my contributions but the one of so many others recognized local artists. A good graffitti is a spontaneous artistic contribution that one or several artists offer to their city. When this expression requires a previous project and a later approval is considered an order and therefore it is made in exchange for an economic repayment. But not this what we requested. We requested that, before censuring and to sentence a graffitti to be eliminated without the minor I show of scruple, before what the loss he is irreparable, is analyzed with artistic criterion what it represents the work at issue, as well as its location. If the work does not harm anybody, if anybody denunciation no pernicious effect, if it gives to life and joy to the grays and uniformed streets of Sabadell, is not of common sense that the opportunity has gained to occupy a space in our city? After 22 years to run corridors, somebody could say to me of once that is the person in charge of this ominous antiartistic policy of the city council of Sabadell?
