PROJECTE RUTA
During more than 15 years Oski and Judith traveled on many occasions to the most inaccessible places deep in Europe’s soul. Mostly using secondary roads that took them to astonishing places, they recollected all kinds of information and got inspired to work on this serie. While Oski’s pictures are found and elaborated on the spot, Judith accumulates impressions that will become the layers of her collages.
FOTOGRAFIA OSKI
Oski’s pictures are spontaneous photos and not preconceived. They catch your attention for being monumental straightforward images of an unusual location or situation. Only after taking a second look one realizes that it is the point of view and the ambient light, that capture all the drama and harmony.
COLLAGES JUDITH
Judith’s collages are in constant movement like a road movie caught in an image. Through a mixture of superposed layers she builds her landscape collages bringing together all the impressions of a travel. Using media that includes photography drawing and painting she builds the essential scenery of an imaginary landscape.
BIO JUDITH
Born in Amsterdam in 1970, she grew up in an artistic surrounding, both of her parents are professional painters. She started art school at the "Rietveld Academie" (1989-95) getting her diploma in the direction painting. Besides of painting autonomously and on assignment, she teaches children to draw and paint at the Artis zoo and at the Museum Hermitage in Amsterdam, a dependency of the one in Saint Petersburg.
BIO OSKI
Born in Barcelona in 1968, Oski got in contact with photography for the first time at the art Academy Massana where he studied graphic design (1984-87). It wasn’t until the early 90’s that his interest for photography became serious. After getting settled in Amsterdam he followed photography lessons at the ACF and put together his first darkroom. On 1997 he moved to Barcelona for a year, where he worked as a photographer for music magazines like Rocksound and Mondosonoro. Back in Amsterdam he started as a free-lancer specializing in portrait, documentary and architecture photography and has worked for known magazines and studios like OOR, Quote, Esquire and Architektenbureau de Cie.
