In a meticulous and unrelenting task, like the grim reaper of bygone times, which we had thought forgotten, they have been arbitrarily empowered as censors of urban art, and have cast sentence and rejection on every one of the works that can be seen in the pages of this book. One after another without exception, and having only just blossomed, these flowers have been pulled up by the roots. However, from these flowers that haven’t even been given time to wilt, here remains one testimony. A testimony that we now offer you as a manifestation, despite the fact that Sabadell is still somewhat dour, that life is brewing in its interior and from time to time, and albeit for a few fleeting moments, this life somehow manages to come out in the open.
Werens is one of the most emblematic and irreverent artists from Sabadell. With a well consolidated trajectory stretching back more than 20 years, this creator of ephemeral and not so ephemeral art, has exhibited his work in galleries and on the streets of a good number of countries which include Germany, Taiwan, Italy and England, to name but a few.
